I am the proud momma of 10 (yes, I include the new sons and daughters whom my 6 children bring to me) and happy grandmother to 6. Yes, I make quilts for all my kid’s weddings and new babies because it is fun. My husband, children and grandchildren are my greatest joy and my biggest support system. I was raised in southeastern Idaho then tried out California for about 5 years before moving to Utah where I now reside.
Me and quilting – I enjoy helping clients turn their beautiful quilt tops into beautiful, finished quilt-gems they can enjoy for many years. I have been sewing since I was about 8 when I made a diaper bag for all of my doll’s things. Then I took up crochet and hand embroidery. I finished my first quilt in 7th grade. Because it was queen-size, I got tired of hand-quilting that early quilt and tied the rest of it with yarn. About 13 years ago, I got back into quilting with the encouragement of friends and then glorious technology, in the form of quilting machines that can stitch amazing, consistent designs, soon attracted me even more. I also enjoy machine embroidery and many types of sewing. I am currently working on blessing gowns, reading pillows, and doll clothes.
Me and music or other hobbies – When I am not quilting or sewing, I like to; travel with my husband, party with my family, quilt for charity, read, play music, teach music, sing with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, write, crochet, and participate in storytelling adventures.
